Regional Research Groups
Regional groups offer in-person meetings that allow research and planning staff to discuss hot topics, share experiences and exchange effective practices with colleagues.
The Regional Research Groups stem from C.A.M.P. Research in the L.A. area (named after its founding members—College of the Canyons, Antelope Valley College, Mt. San Antonio College, Pasadena City College and Rio Hondo College), which was first established in 2002. As its success spread, RP Group Board members liked the idea and organized additional regional groups across the state (some were already organized). RP also started to provide some monetary and other support to the groups. The Regional Research Groups replaced, for the most part, the previous drive-in workshops that the RP Group used to sponsor on SPSS, etc.
Regional Research Groups are meeting up and down the state. They are a great way to network with your fellow community college researchers and planners throughout the year and stay current on the latest happenings within community college research in the state and across the nation.
